Arteriosclerosis
About Stem Cells
In our bodies, there are cells with the ability to regenerate and replenish lost cells to maintain tissues that constantly replace themselves, such as skin and blood. These cells with such abilities are called "stem cells." To be considered a stem cell, the following two abilities are essential: the ability to generate various cells such as skin, red blood cells, and platelets (differentiation ability), and the ability to divide into cells with the same abilities (self-renewal ability).
Stem cells are broadly classified into two types. One is "tissue stem cells," which replenish cells lost in specific tissues or organs such as skin and blood. Tissue stem cells generate only cells with specific roles, such as hematopoietic stem cells that generate blood cells and neural stem cells that form the nervous system. The other is "pluripotent stem cells," such as ES cells (embryonic stem cells), which can generate any cell in the body. Pluripotent stem cells can also generate various tissue stem cells in the body. iPS cells (induced Pluripotent Stem Cells) are "pluripotent stem cells" artificially created based on normal cells. Research is underway to utilize the characteristics of these stem cells in new treatments called "regenerative medicine," where cells themselves are used as drugs to treat injuries and diseases. Additionally, research is being conducted to reproduce the state of cells in the body to investigate disease mechanisms.
Prevention of Arteriosclerosis
Autologous Adipose-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cell Therapy for the Prevention of Arteriosclerosis
About Arteriosclerosis
Arteriosclerosis is a vascular disease that can lead to severe complications such as coronary artery disease and myocardial infarction. Factors such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, obesity, and smoking increase the risk of arteriosclerosis. It is especially common in middle-aged and older adults. Despite significant efforts to manage the risk factors for arteriosclerosis, it remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide.
Effects of Mesenchymal Stem Cell Therapy
At Indiba Clinic, we offer treatments utilizing the homing effect of mesenchymal stem cells to prevent the progression of arteriosclerosis. Mesenchymal stem cells gather at the damaged parts of blood vessels and secrete cytokines to suppress inflammation. Furthermore, they stimulate endothelial cells to promote repair and inhibit the abnormal proliferation of vascular wall cells, thereby alleviating the narrowing of blood vessel walls. This treatment is expected to improve the environment of vascular endothelial cells, slow down the progression of arteriosclerosis, and improve it.
At Indiba Clinic, we provide optimal treatments for each patient and strive to prevent and improve arteriosclerosis. We offer the latest medical technology and hospitality to ensure you can use our services with confidence.
Treatment Flow
1. Appointment Reservation
Please prepare documents that show your current health condition (health check-up report within the last 3 months) and an ID with a photo (ID card, passport, etc.) for the reservation.
2. Counseling
Please fill out the provided medical questionnaire, and the doctor will explain the stem cell therapy to you. Based on the provided documents, we will propose the most suitable treatment plan according to your current health condition.
3. Cell Collection and Blood Sampling
The procedure takes about 20 minutes and is performed under local anesthesia.
Cells are collected from the abdominal fat with a diameter of about 5mm, and blood sampling is also performed.
We use safe medical dissolvable threads for suturing.
After cell collection, a nurse will check the wound and provide medication.
4. Payment
Our clinic operates on a self-pay basis.
Counseling is free, but costs will be incurred during cell collection.
We accept credit cards (excluding JCB), UnionPay, WeChat Pay, Alipay, LINE Pay, and international wire transfers for payment.
5. Cultivation
The cultivation of stem cells and exosomes begins in the lab. The cultivation period is about 4 weeks.
Cells are cultured to the optimal state for your administration date, so please refrain from changing or canceling the administration date.
6. Administration
For IV drip:
Disinfection > Confirming the administration site > Inserting the administration needle
Connect and secure the catheter tube.
Treatment time: 40-60 minutes
Risks and side effects of treatment:
* Hearing loss, dizziness, tinnitus, kidney damage, hypoglycemia, infection, others (anaphylactic reactions
7. End of Treatment
Before leaving, the staff will explain post-treatment precautions. You can go home (or return to your country) on the same day. However, please refrain from driving a car or riding a motorcycle yourself due to the influence of medication and post-surgery pain for safety reasons.
If you have any concerns after going home (or returning to your country), please contact us at any time. Our staff and doctors will respond promptly.
